Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from inside the product (Settings → Billing → Manage billing). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access to all paid features until then, and you will not be charged again. There is no penalty or fee for cancelling.
14-day money-back guarantee — first-time monthly subscribers
If you are unsatisfied with your first monthly subscription, email support@sidelabs.dev within 14 days of the initial charge and we will refund 100% of that payment. Subsequent monthly renewals are not eligible — cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged.
Annual subscriptions — 30-day refund window
Annual plans (Starter Annual, Growth Annual) come with a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of the initial charge. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel auto-renewal at any time so you are not charged for the next year.
Cycle changes mid-period
Switching from monthly to annual triggers an immediate prorated charge for the difference and resets your renewal date. Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at the end of your current annual period — your annual term is honored in full and is not refunded mid-term.
Plan downgrades
Downgrading from a higher tier (e.g. Growth → Starter) on a monthly plan applies prorated credit immediately. On an annual plan, downgrade takes effect at renewal — the prepaid annual term is not refunded.
Trial periods
If your subscription includes a free trial, you will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel any time during the trial to avoid the first charge. Once the trial converts to a paid subscription, the policies above apply from the date of the first charge.
Failed payments
If your payment method fails on a renewal, your subscription enters a past-due state and you have 7 days to update the payment method via the customer portal before features are restricted. We do not charge late fees.
How to request a refund
Email support@sidelabs.dev with your account email and the date of the charge you are disputing. We typically respond within one business day. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method through Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.
Disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is unauthorized or in error, please contact us first — we will resolve the issue or refund you directly within one business day. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.
